Dec 27, 2011 Rather than an X1 as an attachment to the lathe, my view would be to get the X1 standalone (or better an X3!). Lots of reasons for this view, but here is one to think about. The unit I received from Sieg actually is designated as the M4 Multipurpose Machine. If you visit Sieg's web site, currently (9/16/07) you won't see this machine listed.
